Fantestic Festival is a world famous genre film festival focused on thrills, horror, and anything genre fantastic. It's a weird magical place with strong storytelling, which is a perfect target for my next short film. I'm collaborating with old and new film making friends to produce and direct a new ghost short film with Asian influences, within a world we've imagined.
Production begins early 2018.
Synopsis coming soon...
I'm an independent filmmaker focusing on the art and craft of film making. My goal is to create a few quality genre short films in 2018, and submit to several dozen local NYC film festivals, Fantestic Festival, and other festivals. My larger goal is to continue developing a friendly film collaborative so we keep making creative projects with like minded artists.
I'm in search of a producer to co-produce the short film. Your help will go a long way with assuring we have the right story finalized, we selected the appropriate cast, keep pre-production and production moving, and more.
The right candidate works out of NYC, into the art and craft of films, interesting in building a film making collaborative with other filmmakers, and align with similar goals. You should have a strong foundation in storytelling, organization, communication, work well with others, and produced films in the past.
The production requires the producer to meet with the team 1 - 2 times per week (phone, in person), dedicate around 8 hours per week, and be on set for our March shooting days (approximately 3 to 4 days).
I can provide producer and executive producer credit, % ownership in the film, quick turn around on post production so you have a film sooner (May 1st), and any travel costs covered. In addition, you'll be part of a process to build a NYC film collaborative so we can continue shooting creative genre films.
The film budget is coming directly from my pocket where the crew and I do not have plans to profit from this film. So unfortunately, there is no pay.
If you're interested and passionate about art and craft of genre films, then please contact me. I would love to meet, chat about movies, and see if we're a good fit for collaboration.
